主讲简介:杨晔,美国可再生能源国家实验室博士后,主要研究方向太阳能光伏和光催化材料表面和界面超快动力学;在Science, Nat. Photon.,Nat. Energy,Nat. Commun.,J. Am. Chem. Soc.,发表了多篇高水平学术论文。
主讲内容:Photovoltaic devices based on semiconductors are designed to convert solar energy into electricity or chemical fuels. Photons with energy above the semiconductor bandgap create charge carriers, negative electrons and positive holes. The electrons and holes are collected separately at the two electrodes, resulting in an electric current or chemical fuels via electrochemical reaction. This presentation will focus on the dynamics of these charge carriers at the surfaces or interfaces of the semiconductors. In the first part of my talk, I will discuss the surface carrier dynamics in emerging semiconductor materials, lead halide perovskites. In the second part of my talk, I will focus on the carrier dynamics at the interface between a III-V semiconductor electrode and an amorphous TiO2 layer, uncovering the beneficial roles of amorphous TiO2 in the photoelectrochemical reactions.
